However, if you're going to be there for 2-4 days, it's a pretty good value. The other main attraction is the theme park, which can cost up to an additional $26 per person per day. There is a maze of tubes and slides that were fun but, unless you get there early in the morning or late in the day, the wait in line could be 30 minutes. There is a lazy river that winds throughout the water park but, for some reason, half of it was closed off. (Great Wolf has a much larger one, with more impressive waves). The wave pool is quite small and the waves aren't much. The indoor water park is smaller than what we had anticipated. Kids will have a great time and adults, too but probably to a lesser extent. Keep in mind that adults are welcome, but it's not about you. Of course, the main attraction is the water park. We had a two room suite that was nondescript but clean with comfortable beds.
They did have a meal package when we went that included a large pizza and pitcher of pop one day for lunch and a free breakfast buffet the next morning.Although we had been to the Dells before this was our first time at Kalahari.
Great Wolf is nice for a small weekend trip but by comparison it is not my favorite. However, there is no outdoor waterpark here. The lazy river is very nice and there were many things to do. Key Lime Cove is smaller than Wilderness but still has the waterpark under one roof like Great Wolf. The full kitchen made that very easy and there were two bedrooms that shared a bathroom and a pull out couch for the kids. My couponer self kicked in and wanted to be able to make many of our meals instead of eating out a lot. Wilderness is huge and like Jill said you have to walk to the three different indoor parks as they are all in different buildings. They do have MagicQuest if your kids are old enough to do that. If you are a lazy river fan though this is NOT the place for you. We didn’t go out there much because it was kind of cold during our trip there. There is also a waterpark outside that isn’t huge but nice. There are 3 seperate waterpark areas inside that are all under one roof. Great Wolf was our first waterpark in the dells.
